CONTEMPO-RARY
The contemporary class focuses on natural, healthy, and functional movement. We will begin by waking up and mobilising the body, gradually moving through stretching, warm-up, technical principles, and a movement variation. We will work individually, in pairs, and in groups. The class is divided into four parts: stretching, warm-up, technical work, and movement variation.
In her teaching, Tereza combines her experience as a physical theatre performer with a sensitive pedagogical approach and a playful format. Her classes are not about showing off performance, but about experience, detail, and discovering new possibilities of movement. You will gain practical tools for working with your body more effectively, while also having space to genuinely enjoy the process.
The workshop is open to anyone who wants to move more consciously. You don’t need to be a professional dancer - curiosity and a willingness to go a little deeper are enough.
CREATIVE APPROACHES
In this workshop, Tereza Holubová opens the door to the creative process of the authorial collective Nebojsy, showing how an idea becomes living material on stage.
We will work with improvisation, group dynamics, and individual movement exploration. Through specific tasks, each participant will create their own movement material, and together we will discover small details, develop them, and explore what can grow from them. The second part of the workshop will focus on experimenting with text and connecting movement with spoken word. Participants will also get the chance to experience some of the principles behind the creation of the performance Kuchyňské porno.
This workshop is not about the “right result,” but about the process itself—trying, searching, sometimes getting lost, and then discovering something new. You will experience firsthand how contemporary performers think and create; whether you make art, dance, or are simply curious about how creative movement processes work, you will leave with a fresh perspective on movement and practical tools to take with you.
TEREZA HOLUBOVÁ
Tereza Holubová is a performer, choreographer, and contemporary dance teacher. In her work, she combines contemporary dance, physical theatre, and authorial performance. She studied at the Duncan Centre Conservatory and continued her training abroad, including in New York. She collaborates with a number of Czech dance and theatre projects and is a co-founder of the authorial collective Nebojsy, within which the performance Kitchen Porn was created.
In her pedagogical practice, she emphasises natural and healthy movement, playfulness, and a safe environment where participants can discover their own movement language without pressure to perform. Her classes connect technical work with creativity and invite open exploration of movement and the creative process.
