MASTERCLASS

The workshop focuses on exploring and mastering movement principles, mime, dance, and physical theatre, with their direct application in free improvisation. You will learn about spontaneous nonverbal expression—engaging in dialogue both with the audience and with your partner on stage.

Practical Information: We recommend bringing plenty of water and clothing suitable for movement.

Andrej Lyga completed his master's studies at HAMU in Nonverbal Theatre. He works with companies like Tantehorse, Studio Damúza and many others… During his studies, he created with Šimon Pliska, Lukas Blaha and Václav Wortner the already well-known improvisation company "My kluci, co spolu chodíme". The company specialises in improvised "freeform", among others, for children's audiences. He has also been a member of the Losers Cirque Company since 2022.

For his first solo project, A Fairytale for the Brave, Andrej Lyga was nominated for the Thalia Awards 2023 in the Alternative Theatre category for Outstanding Performance and the Talent of the Year category of the Theatre Critics Awards 2023. At the festival Skupova Plzeƈ 2024 he received the Award of the City of Pilsen for his author-performer performance in the production Fairy Tale for the Brave.

Yoga

Step onto your mat and discover time just for yourself, your body, and your mind. Jana Ryšlavá's February Hatha Yoga sessions will focus on breathwork, gentle warm-ups, and strengthening exercises. The middle part of each class will include poses designed to support kidney function, which helps detoxify and energize the body. Together, we’ll awaken and harmonize both body and mind.

You can look forward to balancing poses, breathwork, and a series of asanas aimed at nurturing the proper function of the kidneys and liver.

Practical Information: The class is suitable for beginners with some prior movement experience, as well as intermediate practitioners. Jana provides simpler variations for every asana, along with options for more advanced levels.

We recommend bringing your own mat, comfortable clothing that allows free movement, and a blanket or sweater for the final relaxation.
