Dreamy, melancholic, but also majestic and dramatic. Such is the Fantasia in F minor – a composition by Franz Schubert from 1828, considered the most significant piano duo in musical history. It is known for its depth of emotion, contrasting mood changes, and technical difficulty.

Dreamy, melancholic, but also majestic and dramatic. Such is the dance performance by Anka Postic and Chloé Robidoux in a dance duet by Italian choreographer Marco Da Silva Ferreira.

And that is why it is a perfect combination.

The aforementioned deep emotions, contrasting changes, and technical difficulty are inextricably linked to contemporary dance. Equally important, however, is the lightness with which the Fantasia in F minor begins and the joy of movement emanating from the dynamic second half of the composition. And this is exactly what this playful duet of two young street dancers embodies.

Come to the Farská Garden on Sunday, June 16, to experience the encounter of classical music with the untamed energy of dance! To the sweet tones of the piano, enjoy an irresistible mix of contemporary dance and street dance. We promise you will be captivated by the rhythmic footwork, spontaneous dance expression, and exuberant joy of movement. Prepare for an unforgettable experience full of music, movement, and their combined energy!

The Fantasia in F minor by Franz Schubert, the Austrian classical and early Romantic composer, is full of delicacy, lightness, and fairy-tale enchantment. World-renowned Italian choreographer Marco da Silva Ferreira drew inspiration from this poeticism and created a gentle and energetically charged duet for two young dancers. The combination of noble tones and elements of street dance transforms the empty space of the white stage into an imaginary playground ruled by youth and freedom.

The staging of Fantasia in the minor key doesn't pretend, it doesn't hide behind a pompous facade, and it invites experienced viewers as well as newcomers to the realm of contemporary dance to a playful and vibrant experience. Moreover, the outdoor version in the picturesque Farská Garden will surely amplify the desired sense of freedom and naturalness.
