The performance takes place in cooperation with the TANEC PRAHA 2021 festival.

40 years since the birth, 30 years since the coup. A reflection of one's own life against the background of a great social change.

The dance solo expresses the feelings of a generation whose childhood was shaped by the turn of two epochs. A childhood marked by restrictions and then their sudden release. A racing heart and an audible pulse of one's own blood. A mature person who knows what he wants and knows what he doesn't want. But the Cold War is not over yet. We still live in its shadow. The active wins and the one who is not afraid to show the direction to others.

Generation X is based on the life experience of 21 important Czech personalities born in 1979-1980.

Valuation:

  • Nomination for the 2020 Thalia Award for dance performance.
