PF 2026: A small pause in endless motion

As you surely know, here at MOVE we are firm advocates of movement. Always and everywhere. But even we acknowledge that at the turn of the year, it’s good to pause for a moment - to look back at what we have experienced together and to look ahead to what is yet to come.

The year 2025 was strong, intense, and full of encounters for MOVE Ostrava. We met you, our audiences, in theatres, in public spaces, and at festivals. We met fellow cultural professionals at sector meetings and conferences (and in bars too - but let’s keep that quiet). We worked on new projects during creative residencies, which also gave rise to new productions. We travelled, planned, drew inspiration, and above all - again and again we confirmed that movement and culture only truly make sense when they are shared 💛 And that is precisely why…

In 2026, keep adding fuel to the cultural fire so it continues to burn. Just as we burn for creation, movement, and shared experiences. We would also like to thank all our partners, audiences, and performers for their support in 2025 - for every shared pause and every surge of energy, for the presence and trust that allow us to keep creating. We value every single log you have added to our fire.

Part of last year was also the creation of the production Divoké husy (Wild Geese), from which this year’s PF originates - depicting, among other things, an image of freedom, courage, and forward movement. 📸 Kamil Hauptmann

2025 in Numbers, or Our Lucky Ten ✨

Before we move on, it makes sense to turn back for a moment. The year 2025 at MOVE was, of course, full of movement - small steps, bold leaps, quick sprints, graceful pirouettes, and even a few carefully balanced stumbles. All of this, however, came together to form a beautiful and playful whole that carried us one more year—and countless experiences—further.

For the grown-ups, we’re also adding a small look back in numbers. (Because if you’ve read The Little Prince carefully, you know that adults always ask about those 😉)
