ABOUT THE LECTURER
Jarkko Mandelin is a Finnish choreographer and founder of the Kinetic Orchestra, which he has led since 2009 and is currently based in Helsinki. In his work, he strives for virtuoso, impressive and at the same time accessible contemporary dance – whether through original productions or movement workshops.
Kinetic Orchestra is characterized by a distinctive movement language that combines acrobatic partnering, creative floorwork and expressive artistic work with movement. Together with various collaborators, Mandelin represents one of the distinctive forms of the contemporary Finnish dance scene.
